Scottish Highland Dance (often confused with Irish) is set to traditional bagpipe music, and is both an ethnic art form and a sport. Scottish Highland dance combines grace and athleticism, and will help your child develop coordination, posture, and strength. You can expect coordination skills as arm movements above the head, finger placement, and a lot of hopping. Additionally we will work on musicality introducing rhythm and tempo through the beautiful sounds of the Scottish bagpipes, fiddles and Gaelic language. Classes are adapted for age appropriate development and both boys and girls are encouraged to attend.
